This Weston home suffered ice dam damage during a severe winter — water intrusion stained ceilings in two rooms, rotted exterior trim at the eaves, and damaged siding in one area. We repaired all damage, primed and painted the affected areas, and matched the existing exterior paint color.
Water stains will bleed through standard primer and paint. We use Zinsser BIN shellac-based primer on all water-stained surfaces to permanently block the stain before painting.
We brought a paint chip from the existing exterior to the paint store for a spectrophotometer color match — the repaired areas are indistinguishable from the original.
We cut out any soft or damaged drywall, install new drywall, tape and skim-coat the seams, apply a shellac-based stain-blocking primer, and paint to match the existing ceiling.
Yes. We bring a paint chip or scraping to the paint store for a spectrophotometer color match. The match is typically very close — often indistinguishable from the original.
