This Weston dining room had a plain flat ceiling that the homeowner wanted to transform with a coffered beam treatment. We installed a 4×4 coffered grid with 6-inch wide beams, recessed panels between the beams, and crown molding at the perimeter — all painted to match the existing trim.

We build coffered beams as hollow box beams — they look identical to solid beams but are lighter, easier to install, and less expensive.
